Message from Bhante

Indeed everyone will be glad to hear that Ti-Sarana Buddhist Association has introduced a website of its own. This is another step inaugurated by Ti-Sarana to disseminate Dhamma to a wider circle of Buddhists and non- Buddhists through the modem electronic medium of Internet. New vistas of possibilities will be opened by this means to those who are of critical and scientific outlook to devote more attention to know the different facets of the Buddha's teaching, which has been commented, elaborated and explained over the centuries by learned masters of the Dhamma.

Buddhism is a religion having a philosophy. It has all the attributes that any philosophical system has: Ethics, Aesthetics, Epistemology, Logic, and Metaphysics confining to its subdivision of Cosmology. Psychology, Economics, Ecology and Sociology found in Buddhism are the topics of discussions in modem international forums.

Buddhism addresses to man's reason to solve the problems that mankind is perennially facing. Since Buddhism's outlook is humanistic and its approach is humanitarian, it gives pride of place to man in order to make him self-reliant, to be strong enough to stand on his own feet and work out his own destiny to the extent of influencing the well being of his fellow beings. In our times, the world is engrossed in struggle and strife and the world is turned into a global battlefield. Wanton destruction of resources and the killing each other in the name of this religion or that religion are the order of the day. We fervently hope, therefore, that Ti-Sarana, through its website, would be able to deliver the Buddha's message of peace and co-existence with a new emphasis to the world to create a better atmosphere for all of us to live in harmony and understanding.

May all beings be well and happy!
